SOS Kingston on target in Reading
June 15, 2010
The Special Olympics Surrey Kingston Boccia team finished a very respectable 9th at Sunday’s CP Sport South Regional Play Off Final in Reading.
Kingston qualified by winning their local Surrey League and was competing for a place in the National finals in Nottingham next month. Only the top 6 teams qualified for a place in the National Finals. Kingston narrowly missed out by finishing 9th.
Sue Johnson , SOS Kingston Team Manager said; ‘I am very proud of the team’s achievements, last year they finished bottom of their league but they have trained hard and their efforts have now paid off. We will aim to come back better and stronger next year’.
The team: Ben Wright aged 23, James Marchant aged 19 & Jack Chapman aged 30.
