St. Phillip's Students make the grade

Karen Oosthuizen, Alan Booth and Michael Beasleigh all make it through to the Special Olympics National Games in Leicester in July 2009. 18 ten pin bowlers from Surrey will compete in the National Games as part of the Special Olympics Surrey ten Pin Bowling Squad. They training every Tuesday night at Tolworth Bowl for two hours. The Special Olympics National Games will be attended by 3,500 athletes from across the UK and each player will be playing in a singles, doubles and team tournament. They will live in the Olympic Village for 7 days and will experience the opening and closing ceremony which will be attended by over 30,000.
